Regis Laconi to visit Imola as a spectator for World Superbike
World Superbike Press Release

Fans' favorite Regis Laconi will be present at the Imola round of the SBK world championship on September 27. The French rider, who has now largely completed his rehabilitation process after the terrible incident he suffered on May 15 in practice for the Kyalami race in South Africa, will make his first public appearance at the track on the banks of the Santerno River.
Regis, from Saint Dizier, has written some important pages in the story of his career at the Imola circuit. In 2001 he won race two on an Aprilia, a result that in subsequent years was followed by more prestigious results in the sport. In 2003 he joined the Ducati NCR team, taking third and second at Imola and then improved in the very next year with a superb double win for the factory Ducati Fila team.
Laconi's accident in South Africa was extremely serious but the tough French rider has recovered in an impressive fashion, so much so that he has resumed a regular training regime.
Regis will be present in the Team DFX pit box and will follow the adventures of Lorenzo Lanzi and Fonsi Nieto close up, as well as taking a warm salute from the many Italian fans that will be present at the classic Imola circuit.
