Baz and Kawasaki Join MRS Racing

bazLoris Baz spent the 2011 season racing in just about every possible series. The French rider tackled the BSB, IDM Superbike, World Endurance, and Superstock last year. 2012 should be a more scheduled year as he has signed to race full time with the MRS Team in the 2012 Superstock 1000 FIM Cup.

Adrien Morillas' MRS Team will also be bringing Kawasaki on board for the 2012 season. The Morillas Racing School team has been using Suzukis for the last several years, but with Baz on board in 2012 they'll change manufacturers to become the official Kawasaki team in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup.

Baz will be racing the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R during the 2012 season. Baz finished second on a ZX-10R during the European Championship race at Albacete.

"I managed to make a good deal with Adrien and Kawasaki," Baz said. "Coming back to Superstock was not exactly the first thing that came to mind, but now I'm here things look good and I'm sure they will go better than in 2009 and 2010. On my side I think I'll have every chance of winning, so it should be a good year. I went to race in the UK for two reasons: to stay with Yamaha, but not in Superstock, and learn the electronics. But now the importance of electronics will be reduced and Yamaha has stopped its Superbike programme entirely. A return to Stock is not so bad because I'll be on a good bike and I reckon I can win some races. My aim is to move up to World Superbike in 2013."
