The BigM weekend is off and running. The AMA Superbike, Daytona Sportbike, AMA Supersport, and XR1200 classes have all taken a few practice laps around the Miller Motorsports Park circuit. The World Superbike series has also tested out the circuit before their first qualifying session this afternoon.
Josh Hayes led the way for the AMA Superbike riders. Hayes has finished on the podium at every event so far, and with his win at Infineon, Hayes currently leads the series ahead of Blake Young and Tommy Hayden. (See Results Here.)
P.J. Jacobsen had a solid start to the weekend, beating out Jason DiSalvo and Danny Eslick in the Daytona Sportbike class. (See Results Here.)
For the Supersport riders, it was Benny Solis who set the pace. Solis is coming off of a dominant weekend at Infineon where he took home both race wins, and continued form this morning at MMP.
For the World Superbike riders, today was all about Carlos Checa. Checa had a few errors during today’s practice session, but still managed to beat the rest of the field by more than a half second. (See Results Here.)
