In 2010, Ayrton Badovini rode head and shoulders above the competition in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup. Badovini claimed 9 out of 10 wins with the BMW Motorrad Italia squad, and he will now look to continue on his success in the premier class of the World Superbike series.

Badovini raced in the World Superbike in 2008 and 2009, before moving to the Superstock division where he claimed the Championship with BMW. Badovini is excited to be back in the Superbike series, but even more pleased that he'll get to do so with his BMW team.

"I have raced in Superbikes and I know how important both the bike and the team are," Badovini said. "I think this season we have a great package and I do not want to miss this opportunity."

But BMW Mottorad won't only have Badovini in their corner. They will also be racing James Toseland, a two-time world champion.

"This year I'm finally feeling okay physically and am really motivated by having a competitive bike," Toseland said. "Another real boost for me is the chance to work with a group of people who have already conquered the bike world."

Badovini, Toseland, and BMW will get a chance to show off their speed on February 21st at Phillip Island, a week before the start of the 2011 season.
