Josh Waters to Ride WSB Opener with Yoshimura Suzuki Hot

wsbk_josh_watersJosh Waters will be racing with the Yoshimura Suzuki team for the World Superbike opener on February 25th. The 2009 Australian Superbike champion was handpicked by Yoshimura Japan President Fujio Yoshimura to open the World Superbike season for the Suzuki team.

"We are extremely excited to have Josh on board," said Yoshimura. "He is a very talented rider and we look forward to seeing what he can do at his home track."

Waters has signed on to compete at the opening round of the World Superbike season. He will also be competing with Team Suzuki at various rounds in the Australian Superbike series.

"We're really happy that the Yoshimura Racing Team has asked Josh to race at the Phillip Island World Superbike round," said Perry Morison, the General Manager of Motorcycles, Suzuki Australia. "The 2010 season was a challenging one for Josh, but he showed what he is capable of by returning from injury to take a race win at the MotoGP Superbike support race. His opportunity with Yoshimura now lets him showcase his talent on the world stage and I can't wait to see him race."

The opening round of the World Superbike series will be on February 25th-27th at Phillip Island in Australia.
