Max Biaggi has already been named the 2010 World Superbike champion. With the help of his Aprilia teammate Leon Camier, he has already won the manufacturers title. But Biaggi still wasn't ready to rest. He wanted one more race win.Biaggi scored his 10th win of the 2010 World Superbike season today at the Magny Cours track. Biaggi got some late pressure from race 1 winner Cal Crutchlow, but in the end, Biaggi had too much speed for the Yamaha Sterligarda rider.
At the beginning of the race, it was Sylvain Guintoli who got the jump on the rest of the pack. It was the first time that Guintli had led a race since Phillip Island, but it wouldn't last for long. He was passed by Biaggi on lap nine, and by lap 12 he had fallen back to third behind Crutchlow.
In the closing laps, Guintoli and Fabrizio would fight for the remaining spot on the podium. Fabrizio managed to edge out Guintoli at the end, and gave Ducati one final podium finish before saying goodbye to the WSB.
Fabrizio's teammate Noriyuki Haga would finish in fifth behind Guintoli.
