Haga Takes Second Win of the Season

wsbk_hagaIt's been nearly five months since Noriyuki Haga held the top spot on the podium. But Nitro Nori rode a flawless race today to take his second win of the season.

Haga had a disappointing race one, falling out of contention from second place. But his fortunes were reversed during race two, as his biggest contender going into the stretch, Carlos Checa, crashed out.

With Checa out of the race, Haga's closest competitor was race one winner Jonathan Rea, who was more than three seconds back.

Leon Haslam, who crashed in race one, and was wearing a bandage on his leg, arms, and hand for race two, put in a fantastic effort to claim third on the podium. Haslam was only able to cut a few points off of Biaggi's season lead, and will go into the next round trailing by 58 points.
