Biaggi Takes Race 2 Ahead of Rea

wsbk_biaggi_brnoMax Biaggi took the race two win at BRNO ahead of race one winner Jonathan Rea. It is Biaggi's fifth win out of the last six races, and his ninth overall for the 2010 World Superbike season. Leon Haslam is now 68 points back, after two poor finishes at BRNO.

Biaggi and Rea battled for the first half of race 2, but after Biaggi got the advantage on lap seven, he put the hammer down and lengthened his lead into a comfortable four second race win.

Behind Rea was more empty space until Michel Fabrizio crossed the line in third, 13 seconds behind the race winner. James Toseland and Noriyuki Haga took fourth and fifth for the day.

Leon Haslam, who finished 8th during race one, dropped another two places to finish in 10th for race two. With Haslam now 68 points back, the 2010 World Superbike Championship looks to be firmly in Biaggi's grasp.
