Rea Rides to Race 1 Win at BRNO

wsbk_rea_brnoJonathan Rea took his third World Superbike win of the season today with a dominating finish during race 1 at BRNO.

Rea took off from the third spot on the grid, and quickly separated himself from the rest of the pack. After a short battle with Max Biaggi on the first lap, Rea took the lead and never looked back. Rea finished the race almost three seconds ahead of the rest of the pack.

It is Rea's first race win since he did the double at Assen back in April. Rea's win moves him back into third place in the overall standings ahead of Carlos Checa.

Biaggi took second place after passing Cal Crutchlow toward the end of the race, adding another 12 points to his lead over his biggest contender, Leon Haslam, who only managed an 8th place finish.

Sylvain Guintoli finished fourth, matching his best result during the 2010 WSBK season.
