Max Biaggi took his seventh win of the World Superbike season during race one at Misano, and we all know what happens when Biaggi wins race one. He wins race two. Biaggi has three doubles so far this season, and he'll be looking to perform another perfect day with a race 2 win.
Biaggi beat out Troy Corser, who after claiming BMW's maiden pole position, led throughout the majority of the day. Corser would eventually drop down to third, being passed by Checa late in the race. Corser was disappointed with his third place finish, but happy to give BMW their second podium finish.
Leon Haslam, who is Biaggi's biggest contender, only managed an eight place finish, and let Biaggi extend his lead to 32 in the overall standings.
Michele Fabrizio finished fourth, followed by Sylvain Guintoli.
