Going into the final lap of race two at Kyalami, Jonathan Rea was in the lead. Rea started from 12th on the grid, and rode a superb race. But in the end, Leon Haslam overtook Rea, and sprinted past to finish first at the checkers.
Max Biaggi also almost managed to pass Rea on the final lap, but the Ducati rider fell short by just one tenth of a second.
Cal Crutchlow, who earned his first pole position for Yamaha, took fourth. The top four riders were all within one second of eachother, with fifth place rider, Carlos Checa, coming in at 1.479 seconds behind Haslam.
Haslam put a little more breathing room between himself and Biaggi. Haslam now leads the 2010 World Superbike series with 222 points. Biaggi is close behind with 207. Rea is in third with 141.
