The World Superbike will see two new riders join the circuit this weekend. Two of South Africa’s premier riders will be joining the race at Kyalami. 32-year old Lance Isaacs (pictured) from Cape Town and 19-year old Ronan Quarmby from Bryanston in Gauteng, will by wild card entries for the Ten Kate Honda Racing team. Also, the reigning national Superbike champion, Sheridan Morais, has been offered a wild card spot on an Aprilia.
Morais has not confirmed his participation yet, but Isaccs and Quarmby are set to go.
Anassis Racing will be providing two Honda CBR600RRs for the two South African riders, while Ten Kate Honda will provide the specification components for the bikes, as well as provide set up support.
Isaacs is currently in the lead in the local Superbike Championship. He is leading Morais after the first four rounds. Quarmby is the leader in the World Supersport category.
Morais is both reigning champ in the Superbike and Supersport category. He made history when he won both events last year.
