Alastair Seeley to Lead Suzuki Supersport Effort in 2011

british_superbike_logoAlastair Seeley will keep his relationship with the Relentless by TAS Suzuki team in tact for 2011, but he'll be taking a step down in class as he will be leading the way for Suzuki in the British Supersport class. Seeley will be riding the new Suzuki GSX-R600 next year, and is sure to be toward the front of the pack.

Seeley had a successful debut in the British Superbike series in 2010. Seeley won at Brands Hatch, and was one of just six riders to qualify for the inaugural British Superbike Shootout. Seeley would finish 6th in the 2010 British Superbike season, but will now focus on winning a supersport title in 2011.

"I am happy to be back next year with the Relentless Suzuki team and with a new bike for next year I think we will be ready to come out all guns blazing after testing,” Seeley said. “I haven't raced a Supersport bike in BSB, but I did do the North West 200 and I don't think it will take me long to adapt, especially as I am working with the same crew that I had when we won the Superstock Championship. The team have won Supersport before and it would be nice for me and the boys to win two titles in three seasons, so that is the target."

The Relentless by TAS Suzuki team should be a serious contender in all three classes on the BSB circuit. Josh Brookes will be leading the charge in the British Superbike class, and Guy Martin will take on the majority of racing duties in the superstock class.
