Hill On Pole Position at Oulton Park

bsb_hillSeason leader Tommy Hill has an 11 point advantage heading into the final three races of the British Superbike season, and now he has the pole position, too. Hill claimed his 6th pole position of the season today at Oulton Park, narrowly beating out his title rival, Ryuichi Kiyonari, by .06 seconds.

"That was a good qualifying session and I am happy with the race pace we have for this afternoon after a bit of a tough day yesterday,” Hill said. “I am up for the race and ready to go out and try to win this afternoon."

Kiyonari finished the session .06 seconds behind the season leader. Kiyonari is currently in third place, 15 points behind Hill, and 4 points behind Josh Brookes, who finished more than a second behind the pace setter.

James Ellison continues race hard at the end of the season. The Swan Honda rider can't win the title, but he can win a few more races before the season is over.
