Brookes Takes FP2 at Brands Hatch

bsbk_brookesJosh Brookes managed to get back on top today, as he led the second free practice session at Brands Hatch for the British Superbike. Brookes beat out Tom Sykes and Ryuchi Kiyonari in the final free practice session before qualifying.

The race started after a brief rain, which left some parts of the track a little wet. But Brookes got off to a great start, and set his time early in the session. No one was able to surpass Brookes' 1'28.582 time, but Tom Sykes got the closest.

Sykes waited until the end of the session to move up on the time sheets, finishing just .13 seconds behind Brookes. Kiyonari also had a late lap time, to move Michael Rutter down to fourth.

Season leader Tommy Hill had a poor session, and ended up finishing 19th overall.
