HM Plant Honda's Josh Brookes continued his winning ways with a victory during race two at Snetterton for the British Superbike. Brookes finished ahead of Tommy Hill and Alastair Seeley, as Ryuichi Kiyonari and Michael Rutter were both forced to retire.
"I messed up the start and that was just human error so I had to work for it again. I am really comfortable though this weekend so passing wasn't too much of a problem," said Brookes. "I just took my time and worked my way through. It was of course a shame that Michael and Kiyo retired as I think they would have given me a good battle, but at the same time I think I still was strong enough to beat them. We have another race this afternoon and of course I want that trophy for the cabinet too!"
Brookes started in the pole position, but quickly dropped down to sixth. A mechanical error for Kiyonari and Rutter thinned the pack ahead of him.
Brookes passed up Seeley, Ellison, and Hill, and managed to take the race two win by more than a second. Hill was next across the line with Alastair Seeley closing out the podium.
Brookes extends his lead to 18 points ahead of Tommy Hill.
