2010 British Superbike Preview: Snetterton

bsbk_sykesThe British Superbike series will head to Snetterton this weekend for a triple header. The two scheduled Snetterton races will be preceded by an unfinished race from the Knockhill event.

The second race at Knockhill was canceled due to rain. The race will use the same qualifying times that were achieved at Knockhill. Michael Rutter took the race one win.

At Snetterton, Tommy Hill will be looking to reclaim his series lead. Hill started the season by finishing on the podium in 7 of the first 8 races, but he hasn't found his was back to the top in recent events. He finished the first race at Knockhill in 8th, and currently sits just four points behind Josh Brookes.

Riyo Kiyonari and Michael Laverty could also make a run at the top spot on the score sheet this weekend. Both Laverty and Kiyonari are within twenty points of the series leader.

Stuart Easton is still trying to make some point after missing a few races due to an injury. Easton is just 16 points out of the top six, and will have to surpass Alastaire Seeley and John Laverty if he wants to make it to the showdown.

World Superbike rider Tom Sykes will be returning to the BSBK track in search of some race wins this weekend. Sykes hasn't raced around the BSBK circuit since 2008.
