British Superbike Preview: Knockhill

bsbk_brookesThe British Superbike riders arrives at Knockhill this weekend for round 6 of the BSBK Championship series. Knockhill is the midway point of the BSBK, and the race for the top six is sure to intensify.

Season leader Tommy Hill had his lead slashed down to four points at Mallory Park by Josh Brookes, but Hill isn't about to let his lead slip away.

"I will be flying the flag this weekend," said Hill. "I am still the championship leader and that is the way I intend it to stay. Racing is full of ups and downs and this weekend I want to turn it around and be back on the podium and challenging for the wins and those podium credits. I haven't been to Knockhill for a while, but it is very similar to Mallory Park and we have a good base setting so we just need to get our heads down, stay focused on the job and put ourselves back where we need to be."

Brookes had a solid weekend at Mallory Park, finishing second in both races behind an unbeatable Ryuichi Kiyonari. Brookes had a second and third place finish last year at Knockhill, and will have his eyes on the top spot on the podium this weekend.

Stuart Easton will also be looking for race wins. Easton dropped out of the top six for the first time this season after Mallory Park, and will be looking to put himself back into contention.
