Martini Corse and Italian company Pata are teaming up to bring a team to the 2012 World Supersport Championship. The Pata by Martini team took the title win in the CIV Italian Superstock 600 class and it is now ready to compete on the world stage.
The Pata By Martini Team will bring CIV champion Dino Lombardi over to the World Supersport team. Pata By Martini will also race Francesco Cocco and Luca Salvadori in both the Italian and European Superstock 600.
"Pata's entry as title sponsor of our team is great satisfaction for us, both on a human and professional level," commented team leader Claudio Quintarelli. "I am delighted that a brand such as Pata, which is already involved in World Supersbike, has decided to consolidate its partnership with our team. With this level of support, we can expect to be protagonists in 2012."
The Pata By Martini Team has completed several tests in preparation for the 2012 World Supersport Championship which begins on February 26th at Phillip Island.
