Rea Takes Maiden World Supersport Win

gino_rea_brnoGino Rea took his first win of his World Supersport career today at BRNO.

Rea, who is in his second year of racing in the World Supersport class, took his first front row grid position of the year yesterday, and was able to turn that starting spot into a race win.

Rea took the lead before the end of lap one, but would forfeit the top spot to Fabien Foret a few laps later. Rea and Foret battled around the BRNO track before the Step Racing rider took the lead on lap 6, and held on to it until the checkered flag flew.

Foret would take second place ahead of Chaz Davies, who currently leads the series with 121 points.

Broc Parkes, who crashed out during today's race, is tied in second with Foret with 85 points.
