Parkalgar Honda's Sam Lowes is ready to take the step to the top of the podium at Brno in the Czech Republic this weekend in the seventh round of the World Supersport Championship, after taking a personal best second place at the last round in Spain.
Miguel Praia is riding confidently on his Parkalgar Honda and scored a well-deserved ninth at the last round. He has high ambitions for Brno. There are practice and qualifying sessions on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th July before the race takes place at 1330CET on Sunday 10th July.
Sam Lowes:
"I raced at Brno a few years ago and really liked the track, it suits my style with fast flowing corners and high corner speeds, I think it will be good for us. I am determined to win coming off Aragon (second) and Misano (third) where we showed our speed and I am hoping to go one step better at Brno. We are building towards a win and that's our main aim."
Miguel Praia:
"I am enjoying racing right now and taking ninth at Aragon was very good for me, I beat a lot of good riders and it gives me motivation. Brno is a track that should suit the Parkalgar Honda and I like it, so I will be wanting to challenge for my best ever result again, which means sixth or better."
Simon Buckmaster, Parkalgar Honda Team Manager:
"Sam has the speed and the bike to take the next step to victory. He is gaining experience in track craft all the time and has a dedicated team supporting him all the way.
"I think Miguel is riding better now than he ever has and credit has to go to the relationship he has built with his new for 2011 Crew Chief Paul Williamson, they make a good team. We want him well inside the top 10 this weekend and there is no reason he cannot achieve it."
