Davies Takes the Win and Championship Lead at Aragon

Davis_World_Supersport_AragonWorld Supersport rider Chaz Davies took his third win of the season today at Aragon.

Broc Parkes was leading the Supersport race, but crashed out with three laps to go. Parkes DNF and Davies race win puts Davies in the championship lead by 20 points.

Davies was hot on Parkes’ tail throughout the race, and it looked like the World Supersport race would come down to the final lap. But Parkes lost the front end at turn nine in the closing laps, and handed Davies a full 25 points.

Sam Lowes tried to catch Davies, but didn’t have enough time to close the gap. Lowes had to settle for second ahead of David Salom.

Luca Scassa also crashed out during the World Supersport race at Aragon. With Parkes and Scassa earning no points at the Spanish round, Davies takes a nice lead in the championship standings. Davies leads Parkes by 20, and Scassa by 35 points.
