Luca Scassa Two for Two in World Supersport

luca_scassa_donington_parkTwo races, two race wins. Luca Scassa followed up his opening World Supersport season victory in Phillip Island with a second victory today in Donington Park. Scassa beat out his Yamaha ParkinGo teammate Chaz Davies for the race win.

Scassa led from the start of the race, but had to fight off a charging Davies to claim the race win. Davies was within .27 seconds of the race winner at the checkered flags.

The battle at the top could have been even tighter if it weren't for a few mechanical problems that forced James Ellison and Sam Lowes to retire. Instead, the top two riders finished 20 seconds ahead of the final man on the podium, Gino Rea.

Rea, who was riding at Donington Park with a broken thumb, was able to hold of Robbin Harms and Broc Parks for the final spot on the podium.
