Fujiwara Takes Provisional Pole at Magny Cours

wss_fujiwaraKatsuaki Fujiwara hasn't claimed the pole position yet, but during the first qualifying session Fujiwara proved to be the fastest around the Magny Cours track in France. Fujiwara hasn't claimed the pole position since 2003, but has put himself in a good position to claim it tomorrow.

Fujiwara beat our Kenan Sofuoglu, who is looking to maintain a race advantage over Eugene Laverty. Sofuoglu has a 16 point lead going into the final race of the World Supersport season, and can't relax his grip on the championship yet.

Laverty finished 5th for the day, behind Fabien Foret and David Salom. Laverty finished .28 secoonds behind Sofuoglu, and will need to find some time around the Magny Cours track if he wants to be a contender on Sunday.
