Michele Pirro took his second career pole position in the World Supersport today at the Misano track. His second pole position comes one year after he claimed his maiden pole, also at the Misano track.
Pirro set the new track best on the final lap of the session, clocking in at 1'38.444, pushing Eugene Laverty out of first place. In third, came the local wildcard, Roberto Tamburini, who looked like he was going to pull off an amazing win. Tamburini led with just five minutes left, but was knocked down to second by Laverty, and then down to third with Pirro's record setting lap.
Joan Lascorz tok forth ahead of Gino Rea, and Kenan Sofuoglu, who is Laverty's biggest competition, finished in 6th.
