The top three riders of the World Supersport have exchanged positions on the podium throughout the 2010 season. Five measley points separate the top three riders, with Kenan Sofuoglu in the lead with 117, Joan Lascorz in third with 112, and Eugene Laverty just 1 point behind Sofuoglu, with 116.
Laverty has the most wins this season, with four, but its been victory or nothing for the Irishman. His two off the podium finishes made it possible for Sofuoglu to take the lead.
Sofuoglu has only one race win this season, but his consistent second and third place finishes give him the most points. Sofuoglu won at Miller Park last year, and he will look to put some breathing room between himself and Laverty.
Triumph riders Chaz Davies and David Salom sit in fourth and fifth in the standings.
