There are only three races left in the 2011 Red Bull Rookies Cup, and two of those races will take place this weekend in the Czech Republic.
The two top riders in the Red Bull Rookies Cup are separated by just 6 points at the moment. 16-year-old Arthur Sissis has lead the series since the second round of the season, but after a disastrous round in German, the Australian relinquished the lead to 15-year-old Italian, Lorenzo Baldassarri.
Baldassarri has two wins to his name this season (Sissis has four wins) and has been the most consistent rider this season. Baldassarri has scored points at every round so far this year, but BRNO could be a difficult round for the young Italian. Baldassarri has never race at the BRNO circuit, as opposed to Sissis who has seen the circuit three times.
Alan Techer and Philipp Oettl are both still mathematically in the hunt for the title. Techer, who is coming off of a race win at Sachsenring, is 45 points behind Baldassarri in the overall standings. Oettl also took a win in Germany, but Oettl has a slightly larger margin to the top. Oettl is 65 points behind Baldassari.
