Denis Borges was supposed to squeeze in between three cars during a high-speed stunt at the "Extreme Show" at the Beto Carrero World theme park in Brazil, but Borges misjudged the spacing and was sent flying 80 feet through the air.
Borges crashed head on with one of the vehicles and was catapulted from his motorcycle. According to ABC, Borges flew approximately 82 feet before hitting the pavement. He rolled another 40 feet after hitting the ground.
Here's a video of the high-speed stunt accident.
Medics rushed to the scene and immediately took Borges to the hospital. According to a statement from Beto Carrero World, neither of the stunt drivers were injured.
Beto Carrero World said in its statement:
"The drivers are professionals who already have more than 10 years experience and rehearse their maneuvers on a daily basis. It was a really scary accident, but it also served to show how extreme the show is."
Congrats, Beto World, your show is extreme.
