Big falls and big tricks are what make the X Games so exciting every year. This year was no exception as we saw the X Games' first Moto X Enduro event, a highflying freestyle competition, the first ever front flip, and a new step up record.
Here are some of the highlights from this year's X Games.
Best Trick
Jackson Strong won the Gold for Moto X best trick by nailing the first ever motorcycle front flip at the X Games.
Sinclair gave Strong a run for his money with a Nac-Nac double back flip.
Strong and Sinclair could have had tough competition from Travis Pastrana, but Pastrana had to leave the Best Trick competition after injuring himself while trying to land his new 720 Toilet Paper Roll.
Step Up Competition
Matt Buyten set a new record by clearing a 37 foot bar during the step up competition to take home a gold at the X Games. The 35' 6" record had stood for 11 years before Brian Deegan broke it at X Games 17. By the end of the competition, the bar had literally been raised a foot and a half.
Freestyle
In the Moto X Freestyle Competition, Nate Adams took the gold medal after a fierce competition from Dany Torres and Adam Jones.
Speed and Style
Adams would take home another gold medal in the style and speed competition. Adams would be pushed around the track by Mike Mason.
Moto X Enduro
X Games 17 also saw its first Moto X Enduro event this year. Taddy Blazusiak would take the gold after a grueling session through an extremely difficult course.
The women also got their shot in the Moto X Enduro. Maria Forsberg took home the gold, but not before fans witnessed more than a dozen crashes around the course.
