Danny Torres Wins in Dubai Hot

danny_torres_in_dubaiThe Red Bull X-Fighters started the season in high style this weekend with a spectacular event on the sandy beaches of Dubai. Danny Torres won the main event with some high-flying tricks against the amazing back drop of the Burj al Arab tower.

“I’m very happy to take the first win of the season here in Dubai,” said an elated Torres. “It feels really good because the level of riding was so high tonight, so it makes this win that much better.”

15,000 fans came out to witness the action on the Arabian Gulf, where they say riders flying as high as 50 feet and covering distances of close to 100 feet. Andre Villa took second place ahead of 2010 champion Nate Adams.

Here's a taste of some of the action in Duabi.

The Red Bull X-Fighters will now head to Brazil for the second stop of the tour.
