Weren’t able to make it to the Isle of Man this year? Either was I. But here’s some great, or at least, existent footage of the 2011 Isle of Man TT Zero race.
Michael Rutter took the win during the 2011 Isle of Man TT Zero race for the MotoCzysz team, and nearly claimed the 10,000 pound ($16,000) dollar prize for a 100 mph lap. Rutter rode 99.64mph lap around the mountain course, and will surely be able to break the 100mph barrier if he returns to the TT Zero race next year.
“99.6mph - that’s the story of my life,” Rutter said. “I tried to conserve battery life and stay smooth. It’s a totally different way of riding but I really enjoyed it. We only saw the bike on Wednesday, so I think if we had more time there would be more to come set-up wise.”
Here’s a brief video from the TT Zero.
