Dunlop Named Official Tire Partner of IOMTT

Dunlop_Tires_at_IOMTTDunlop has helped many riders to get around the Isle of Man track in the past, and now the Department of Economic Development has named Dunlop the official tire partner of the IOMTT for the 2011 TT Races.

For the past two years, all of the solo TT races have been won by riders with Dunlop tires. Dunlop also helped Ian Hutchinson to win a record of 5 TTs in 2010. Dunlop has also been on bikes ridden by Rocket Ron Haslam, Roger Marshall, Roger Burnett, Joey Dunlop and Mick Grant.

"The TT Races commercial program continues to grow and it is fitting that in the year of the centenary of the Mountain Course, one of the companies that has become synonymous with the event has become a commercial partner,” said Allan Bell MHK, Minister for Economic Development.

Dunlop will have track side branding throughout the Isle of Man TT this year.

"Dunlop is delighted to become the Official Tire Partner of the TT Races,” said Eddy Geerdink, Dunlop Marketing Director. “The Mountain Course is one of the world's toughest circuits and our success in the event over the years has provided us with excellent recognition for the performance and technology of our tires."

Dunlop joins a long list of sponsors including Montser Energy, PokerStars, and Arai.

The Isle of Man says that the sponsor program is vital to the IOMTT’s success, and that all the money generated through commercial sponsors is reinvested back into the race to cover insurance, equipment, and maintenance.
