Davy Morgan, TT Racer, Continues to Ride for Cancer in 2011

davy_morganFor the last few years, Davy Morgan has been raising money through his racing efforts for various cancer charities. Morgan pledged to continue his efforts in 2011 in order to support Action Cancer's Get a Grip Campaign.

Morgan has raised close to $15,000 since 2009 by selling small pins and badges at various road races. In 2009 Morgan sold pink badges to support breast cancer awareness, and in 2010 Morgan added a blue badge to promote prostate cancer awareness. The badges feature the Get a Grip logo, as well as a likeness of Morgan's helmet.

"Our thanks goes to all those kind people who sold and more importantly bought our pin-badges in 2009 and 2010 and not only supported me, but also this very important and life-changing cause," Morgan said.

"In 2011 I will continue to carry the Action Cancer logos on my helmet, leathers and race bikes, to help promote the charity. The club will continue to sell the remainder of both badges at £3 each or £5 for the pair in the hope that, once again, the racing fraternity and beyond will show their generosity and help to support Action Cancer and their breast cancer awareness and Get a Grip! campaigns."

Morgan has already raised close to $2,500 this year, and hopes that 2011 will be his most successful year yet.
