Guy Martin Signs Deal with TAS Suzuki Hot

Guy Martin in 2010 Wilson Craig RacingEnglishman and Isle of Man TT fan favorite Guy Martin has moved on from Honda to Relentless by TAS Suzuki for the 2011 running of the historic road race. This is considered a rather huge move for Martin as he has been on one Honda or another for the past four seasons. As with every move he makes, this is a calculated move to a team with a top-notch program. It goes without saying that Martin is determined to stand on the top step at the TT, and he believes that this may be his opportunity.

At the 2010 Isle of Man TT, in the Senior race, Martin suffered a phenomenal get-off in which his Honda Fireblade exploded in a huge fireball. Many spectators had thought that Martin was done, but he managed to survive even though he ended up in a hospital bed with a fractured spine and bruised lungs – all not life-Guy Martin 2010 TT Crashthreatening, thankfully. In fact, he had no idea how serious his crash had been; maybe that was for the best.

For the last few years, TAS Suzuki has had Australian Cameron Donald and New Zealander Bruce Anstey running on the Mountain Course for the team. However, there has been no mention of who will fill the space of Martin’s teammate for 2011.

Guy Martin couldn’t be happier with his new position and is ready to get to work on his 2011 season. The Isle of Man TT is certainly going to be interesting next year…
