The Isle of Man TT has officially begun. Riders have been working there way around the mountain track for the past few days in preparation for Saturday's race. The first two practice sessions have been all about Ian Hutchinson, who has been the man to catch so far around the mountain track. With Hutchinson claiming the best laps in both previous practice sessions, and with near perfect conditions for today's run around the track, Hutchinson was clearly the easy bet to break the 130 mph barrier.
The 130 mph barrier was broken, but it wasn't by Hutchinson. John McGuinness set the fastest lap of the day on just his second lap, clocking in at 130.242.
Hutchinson was just off the mark, clocking in at 129.164 mph.
