Isle of Man TT Contracts Under Review

Isle of Man TT Press Release

Isle of Man TTA series of Isle of Man TT contracts are under review as the Department of Tourism and Leisure strives to continue the success and growth of the event.
The department is inviting expressions of interest in four of the key commercial contracts associated with the TT.
The tender process for the contracts is part of the Isle of Man Government’s standard procedure to ensure all contracts awarded by Government deliver optimum value.
The areas under consideration include Sponsorship Acquisition and Management, the Official Program and Race Guide, the Official Website and Public Relations.
The DTL’s efforts to develop the TT’s commercial assets over the last three years have seen the value of sponsorships and licensing agreements increase significantly.
Tourism and Leisure Minister Martyn Quayle said: “We are advertising for expressions of interest as the existing contracts have expired. We hope that our existing partners and others will be keen to work with us to take forward this iconic event. It is important that we review all of our commercial arrangements as they expire to ensure that we are achieving the best possible returns.
“We have recently completed a comprehensive review of all of the trademarks associated with the TT and now have a clear operating framework with regard to their commercial value. We will capitalize on that work to generate the revenue we need to maintain the continued success and growth of the TT.”
Any expressions of interest should be submitted to the Isle of Man Government’s Department of Tourism and Leisure by Friday 25th September 2009.
