Spaniard Sergio Gadea pulled in an impressive third place finish for Paris Hilton's new 125 cc MotoGP team in the Qatar opener today... but we noticed something different about that bike that made the press rounds with Hilton in December. It was noticably absent of its trademark Hilton signature: the color PINK.
Corrado Cecchinelli, the former director of Ducati, will be the MotoGP Director of Technology for the 2011 MotoGP season. Cecchinelli will oversea all technological aspects relating to the MotoGP World Championship, as well as the Moto2 series and 125cc series.
There is a lot of pressure resting on the shoulders of Alvaro Bautista. Bautista will be the sole rider for the Rizla Suzuki team during the 2011 MotoGP season, but he believes that the situation will work to his advantage.
Looking at the final point standings of the 2010 MotoGP season, it would be hard to tell that Valentino Rossi had injured his shoulder and broken his leg, forcing him to miss four rounds in 2010. That's because Valentino Rossi still found a way to get onto the podium at the end of the season. For his accomplishment, Valentino Rossi has just been awarded the 2011 Laureus Award for "Comeback of the Year."
