Ducati Completes Secret GP12 Test Hot

ducati_corseDucati has just finished up its three day testing session on the GP12 at the Jerez circuit. Carlos Checa and test rider Franco Battaini handled the driving duties during the three day test. Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden will get their chance to test out the bike during the first official MotoGP pre-season test at the end of January.

Ducati has been pretty tight lipped about the testing session.

Ducati released a statement today about the testing session which contained just about information as a weather report. Ducati said:

"During the three days, in which weather conditions were cold but fortunately dry, the work program was completed without any problems enabling the team to complete all checks in preparation to start the winter tests in Sepang, Malaysia from 31 January until 2 February 2012."

Carlos Checa didn't give much more information on Twitter. Checa said:

"Finish test with GP. Today also riding my ducati 1198 recovering good feelings (not easy with +6 kg ) & getting ready for this new season."

Rossi and Hayden will take the reigns of the GP12 at the end of the month.
