Dovizioso Has Successful Surgery

dovizioso_twitterAndrea Dovizioso is "as good as new." The MotoGP rider suffered a broken collarbone last week while training on a motocross bike. Dovi has had successful surgery and is confident that he'll be able to attend the Sepang test later this month.

Dovi wrote on Twitter: "I'm almost as good as new!"

The next MotoGP test will be in Malaysia on January 31st. Dovizioso will have to have his arm stabilized for the next two weeks before he begins rehab. According to Dr. Porcellini, Dovi should have enough time to recover for the Sepang test barring any future problems.

After the accident, Dovizioso's personal manager, Simone Batistella, said:

"As far as the Sepang Test goes, the first impressions of the medics who examined him are that he should not have any major problems, and they expect and hope for a speedy recovery."
