San Carlo Honda Gresini has not chosen a rider to replace Marco Simoncelli yet, but they are starting to make plans for the 2012 season. The San Carlo team will run an FTR frame as a CRT entry and with a Honda CBR1000R engine next season.
The San Carlo Honda Gresini team will get some help from British bike manufacturer FTR Moto to develop the frame for their 2012 MotoGP bike. A Honda CBR1000R engine will be used on the FTR frame.Fausto Gresini, Team Owner: "It is a source of great satisfaction that we have reached an agreement with FTR Moto to take part in the new MotoGP series, CRT. The battle between the Claiming Rule Teams will be an exciting one and we are entering it with great enthusiasm.
