The 2011 MotoGP season concludes this weekend with one final race at Valencia. Casey Stoner and Jorge Lorenzo have already secured their positions in the championship (1st and second respectively) but the battle for third is still raging between Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso.
Here are some MotoGP stats as we head into the final race of the 2011 season.
750 – The MotoGP race in Valencia will be the 750th premier-class Grand Prix counting towards the world championship.
405 – Honda has already clinched the MotoGP constructors title, but if a Honda rider claims the win this weekend Honda will set a new record with 405 points.
100 – Casey Stoner will make his 100th consecutive start this weekend.
58 - The MotoGP riders will pay tribute to number 58, Marco Simoncelli, during the final race of the season.
58 – Casey Stoner stood on the podium for the 58th time in Australia. Only five riders have finished on the podium more times than Stoner in the premier-class; Valentino Rossi, Mick Doohan, Giacomo Agostini, Eddie Lawson and Wayne Rainey.
39 - Casey Stoner took his 39th win in Australia. Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa have 38 wins.
36 - Josh Hayes makes his MotoGP debut at the age of 36.
32 – Casey Stoner now has one more premier class win than Eddie Lawson with 32 wins. Stoner is now fifth on the all-time winners list after; Valentino Rossi, Giacomo Agostini, Mick Doohan and Mike Hailwood.
22 - Loris Capirossi concludes a 22-year career this weekend.
16 – Casey Stoner is seeking his 16th podium finish this season. If he finishes on the box, he will equal the record for most podiums achieved by Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo.
14 - Casey Stoner scored his fourteenth successive podium in Australia. Only Wayne Rainey, Mick Doohan, Giacomo Agostini and Valentino Rossi have had longer sequences of podiums in the premier class.
