Original "We Are Japan" Shirt Signed By MotoGP Grid Up For Auction

we_are_japan_t-shirtsAfter the earthquake that devestated Japan earlier this year, the MotoGP grid decided to raise some money for charity. MotoGP.com has been selling "We Are Japan" t-shirts on their site to raise money for the Japan earthquake relief effort. But now, the original shirt bearing all 17 signatures from the MotoGP grid, is going up for auction.

All of the proceeds will be going to charity, so not only will you be able to get the John Hancock of the entire MotoGP grid with one purchase, but you'll also be supporting a fantastic cause.

The "We Are Japan" t-shirt, which is currently up for auction at eBay, is currently priced at 310,000 euros, or about $425. The auction will continue until September 29th, so that price is bound to go up.

If you can't cough up a few hundred dollars to bid on the "We Are Japan" t-shirt, MotoGP.com is still selling replicas at MotoGP.com.

All the money raised from the "We Are Japan" shirts will be given to a local Japanese humanitarian organization to support the relief efforts following the March 2011 earthquake. The money will be presented to the charity organization at the Motegi GP at the end of this month.
