Casey Stoner added another check to the win column today with an impeccable performance in Spain. Stoner captured his 8th win today at Aragon and now leads the MotoGP standings by 44 points ahead of Jorge Lorenzo.
Stoner's victory, which he won after securing his 10th pole position of the season, was Repsol Honda's 100th victory. The Repsol Honda team also got to celebrate another podium finish as Dani Pedrosa came across the line in second.
Jorge Lorenzo brought his Yamaha into third today. The top three riders were well ahead of the rest of the pack. Marco Simoncelli, who finished fourth, came in 6 seconds behind Lorenzo.
Ben Spies, who started from the front row, finished the race in fifth place ahead of Alvaro Bautista and Nicky Hayden. Hector Barbera took 8th ahead of Colin Edwards, while Valentino Rossi managed to crack into the top 10 after starting from pit lane.
