Argentina isn't on the 2012 MotoGP calendar which was released today, but the Autódromo Termas de Río Hondo in Argentina will be the calendar in 2013. Dorna Sports and the Argentinian government signed an agreement today that will put Argentina back on the MotoGP schedule.
According to Visor Down, the papers have all been signed but Argentina still has to renovate its track to make sure that it fits the rigorous standards of the MotoGP.
The 2013 season could be an extremely interesting year for the MotoGP. The 2012 calendar was nearly identical to the 2011 calendar, but the MotoGP will see at least two new tracks in 2013. The new Circuit of the Americas track in Texas will start hosting MotoGP races in 2013, and it looks like the series will be heading to Argentina as well.
Argentina hasn't hosted a MotoGP race since 1999 when Kenny Roberts won a 500cc race in Buenos Aires.
