With hardly any time to catch their breath from the Indy GP, the MotoGP riders return to action this weekend at San Marino. Casey Stoner is starting to run away at the top, but Jorge Lorenzo, Dani Pedrosa, and Andrea Dovizioso will do their best to real him back in this weekend in Italy.
Here are some stats for the Misano GP.
174.2 - Dani Pedrosa set the speed record at Misano in 2010, bringing his bike close to 175 mph. Pedrosa also claimed the pole position in 2010, as well as the race win.
54 - With his win in Indy, Casey Stoner has now stood on the podium 54 times, trying Randy Mamola in 7th on the all-time list. Only Rossi, Doohan, Agostini, Lawson, Rainey and Biaggi have scored more podiums.
44 - Jorge Lorenzo trails Casey Stoner in the overall standings by 44 points.
37 - Jorge Lorenzo, Casey Stoner, and Dani Pedrosa are tied with 37 career wins a piece. The three riders are tied for 12th for most wins across all classes.
30 - Casey Stoner took his 30th premier class win last weekend at Indy. The Repsol Honda rider is now one win away from equalling Eddie Lawson's record of 31 (Lawson is fifth on the all-time wins list). Of course, Lawson has four championships, compared to Stoner's 1.
28 - On race day, it will be exactly 28-years since Freddie Spencer became the youngest MotoGP premier class champion.
23 - Valentino Rossi has scored points in 23 consecutive races. Rossi's previous streak for consecutive races in the points was 28, which he earned from 2002 to 2004.
15 - An Italian hasn't won in the last 15 races. It is the longest streak without an Italian winner since 1999.
