dani_pedrosa_brnoDani Pedrosa set the pace during the first free practice session at BRNO with an incredibly fast time of 1'56.328. Stoner was nearly a second behind Pedrosa at the end of FP1, but the championship leader was able to drop .43 seconds from his FP1 time to end the day with a 1'56.831 time. Stoner was the only other rider to do a lap below 1'57 today at the Czech circuit.

Marco Simoncelli put a third Honda at the top of the timesheets with a 1'57.136 lap time around BRNO. Simoncelli crashed at the end of FP1, but he was still able to drop three tenths from his time during the second free practice session.

Jorge Lorenzo finished in fourth today at BRNO and was the final rider to finish within a second of Pedrosa's pace.

Andrea Dovizioso and Ben Spies took the fifth and 6th place spots before Valentino Rossi finished in seventh. Alvaro Bautista, Cal Crutchlow, and wildcard rider John Hopkins rounded out the top 10.
