Honda unveiled its new Moto3 motorcycle today, the NSF250R, as well as plans to produce the motorcycle commercially. Honda says that the NSF250R will hit stores in December of this year.
Honda says that the NSF250R, which was specifically designed to compete in the Moto3 class, is the ““Next Racing Standard.”
Key Features of the NSF250R:
- Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, 249 cc engine
- Front-intake/rear-exhaust configuration
- Titanium valves for both the intake and exhaust to reduce friction.
Honda unveiled the new motorcycle at a press conference in Montmelo. Executive Vice-President Shuhei Nakamoto of Honda Racing Corporation said: "Our aim is to expand the base of motorsports through the Moto3 class, and the greatest joy would be for this class to be a springboard for future champions.”
The new Moto3 racing machine has a MSRP 23,600euro or $34,000.
