Mark Neale, who has already created hit motorcycle documentaries like Faster and The Doctor, the Tornado, and the Kentucky Kid, is set to release another film documenting the lives of MotoGP racers. Fastest will take a look at the thrilling 2010 season, to find out who is the fastest rider in the MotoGP.
The film focuses on Valentino Rossi and his struggles in the 2010 season. The Doctor, a living legend in the MotoGP, faced stiff competition in 2010 from his teammate Jorge Lorenzo. Rossi also broke his leg at the beginning of the championship, and had to claw his way back to the top against an exceptionally talented field of young MotoGP riders.
Fastest will be narrated by Ewan McGregor and is set to be released this August.
Here’s the trailer for the new MotoGP documentary.
“’Fastest’ is the greatest feeling. ‘Fastest’ is the greatest risk,” said director Mark Neale. “This is the essence of MotoGP and of the movie. The ecstasy and the terror of life at the very highest level of motorcycle racing.”
