MotoGP Heads to Jerez [Teaser Video] Hot

MotoGP_Jerez_TeaserThis weekend, the MotoGP riders will head to Jerez for the second round of the 2011 MotoGP season. The Spanish GP is the first European stop for the MotoGP this year, and it is sure to be home to some fantastic racing.

More than 120,000 people are expected to head to Jerez de la Frontera to watch Casey Stoner, Dani Pedrosa, and Jorge Lorenzo battle for the second victory of the season. Stoner's victory in Qatar makes him the man to beat this weekend, but there could be a few surprises.

Valentino Rossi hasn't been able to keep up with the pace of the leaders, but he's had a few weeks since Qatar to rest his shoulder. Rossi will also have some added confidence at Jerez, as he is the most successful rider at the Spanish circuit, with 6 premier class wins.

Stoner's teammate Dani Pedrosa could also challenge for the race win. Pedrosa was bothered by a shoulder injury in Qatar, but if his body holds out this weekend, he could be looking at a race victory.

And of course, 2010 champion Jorge Lorenzo is sure to be in the mix. Lorenzo was the only non-Honda rider to finish in the top five at Qatar.

Here's a teaser video from the MotoGP about the upcoming race in Jerez.
