Lorenzo Leads After FP1

motogp_jorge_lorenzoJorge Lorenzo hasn't lost a step over the Summer break, and came out at BRNO to set the pace for the MotoGP during the first free practice session. Lorenzo finished more than a half a second over Dani Pedrosa and Valentino Rossi, who finished second and third.

Lorenzo set a 1'57.215 time on the BRNO track. The rest of the MotoGP pack had a hard time catching up with Lorenzo, especially after it started to rain with 15 minutes left in the session.

Pedrosa came in next, .541 seconds off of Lorenzo's tail. Pedrosa is coming off of a disappointing race at Laguna Seca. Pedrosa had the win in sight, but ended up with a DNF after a crash toward the end of the race.

Rossi finished just 6 hundreths of a second behind Pedrosa, and looks to be fully recovered. He should give Lorenzo a run for the top time during tomorrow's session.
